Introduction of TIGÁZ GEPA Kft.
The TIGÁZ GEPA Kft. was founded on the 2nd of January 1991, 100% ownership rate by the Tigáz Zrt. The company operates in the Tigáz headquarters, Hajdúszoboszló, using leased buildings of the founder. Since the beginnings, the company's profile is repairing and testing gas meters, pressure regulators and other instruments. The primary contracting party of the company is the owner, the Tigáz Zrt.
The first certification lab for residential gas meter testing was set up by the founder in 1990. In 1992 the principal activity was extended by repairing and certificating medicore capacity membraned gas meters. From the year 2000 - using own resources - the company developed and started operating a certificating system using venturi nozzle devices.
The validation and testing of gas meters is monitored by the representative of the Hungarian trading and licensing office (Magyar Kereskedemi és Engedélyezési Hivatal). The repair of residential gas regulators and instruments (pressure gauges, temperature and pressure registers) is a continuous activity in the company since the beginnings.
The metrological compliance is certificated in the laboratory accredited by the NAT (National accreditation board, Nemzeti Akkreditáló Testület).
Today, the company's activities are
- individual gas meter and pressure regulator tests
- verification of the state and accuracy of new and used gas meters
- determining the amount of attrition derived from operating
- detection of the methods of irregular consumption
