What is the purpose of the Tigáz Bill Angel Program?

The Tigáz Bill Angel program is a unique bill-pay securing program in the Hungarian utility sector. This service can help the customers, who have financial difficulties, to pay their bills even for a year, so customers can avoid the accumulation of bill debt.

In what type of events can Bill Angel help?

The service helps the clients in four different cases: death, permanent disability, sick pay longer than 30 days, involuntary unemployment. In case any of these events occur, the Bill Angel settles the payment of the bills, according to the average bill value.

What is the average bill value?

The value of the service is calculated by the average value of the last twelve bill prior to the start of the service (later the anniversary). This is called the average bill value.

How is the fee calculated?

The basis of the calculation of the fee is the average bill value, which is always determined for a year ahead. Therefore the monthly fee of the Bill Angel service will not change, and it is in relation with the consumption of the customer. The fee of the program is only the 6,154% of the average bill value.

For example, an average bill value of 10.000 HUF means only 615 HUF fee cost.

How can I find out what my personal average bill value is, and so my Bill Angel fee?

You can inform about your average bill value and the fee by calling the Tigáz Call Center (+36-40-333-338, Hungarian call service).

How do I pay for the service?

After joining the program, our customers will receive the Bill Angel fee built in their regular bill.

The fee of the service is shown as a separate item.

How can the Bill Angel help?

The fee of the service is 615 HUF, considering a regular bill of 10 000 HUF. In return of this fee, an amount 120 000 HUF will be credited on the customers account in case of permanent disability or death. This amount is twelve times the average bill value. Thus in difficult times our customers do not have to pay for the gas service for a year, their family and their home is secured.

In case of sick pay longer than 30 days (full disability), and involuntary unemployment (after 30 days), 10 000 HUF (the average bill value) will be credited on the account monthly in return of the 615 HUF monthly fee, until the event passes, but not longer than 12 months (continuous). This way our customers get a fix financial help for paying their bills.

Who can use the service?

Every individual between 18 and 65, who has a universal service (formerly utility service) or a free market service contract with Tigáz can use the Bill Angel service.

To fulfill the terms of the service regarding the disability and the sick pay option, the customer has to have labour relation, and must be employed for the unemployement option.

What if the gas bill is more or less, than the credited average bill value?

If the amount of the received bill is higher than the credited amount, then the difference must be compensated by the customer. If it is less, the remaining amount will be handled as overpayment, which can be consumed in the future.

How can I join?

The Bill Angel program is an option for everybody. Our customers can decide, whether to choose the possibility of uncertain financial situation, caused by the mentioned unexpected events, or choose the solution, which means safety for the home, and for the family.

What to do when the unexpected event comes?

The documents for the claim can be downloaded at the www.tigaz.hu and the www.szamlaangyal.hu websites, and are also accessible in our customer service offices. For information about claiming you can call the Tigáz Call Center (+36-40-333-338) or the Ahico Call Center (06-1-459-7500).

Is there a postponing period?

Yes, in the sick pay and the involuntary unemployment cases. The postponing period is 30 days (sick pay) or 60 days (involuntary unemployment) after joining the service. Any injury during this period will be automatically rejected.

Is there a waiting period?

Yes, in case of permanent disability, sick pay, and involuntary unemployment. This is the period from the beginning date of the insurance event, which is defined in the terms and conditions of the insurance, and its first day is the day of the injury. For this period, the insurance will not be provided. It means 30 days for sick pay and involuntary unemployment, and 1 year for permanent disability.

What to do, if I do not want to participate any longer in the Bill Angel program?

The service can be terminated any time by sending a written statement to Tigáz Zrt. or to the Ahico Zrt.: immediately in 30 days, and with 15 days of termination period after 30 days.
